Usage information
This product is intended exclusively for use in scientific research and development.
The chemical substances it contains must not be used as pharmaceuticals, medicines, active pharmaceutical ingredients, medical devices, cosmetics or ingredients for manufacturing cosmetic products. They are also not suitable for consumption by humans or animals, whether as food, food supplements or for comparable uses.
The product is strictly limited to in vitro research applications, including but not limited to receptor–ligand binding studies, enzyme activity assays, cell proliferation assays, cell signalling assays and epitope mapping.
Transport
Lyophilised peptides are supplied in glass vials and delivered using standard shipping methods without requiring refrigeration during transit.
Brief or moderate temperature fluctuations that may occur during transit do not affect their quality or activity.
Lyophilised peptides remain stable for several weeks, even when exposed to the elevated temperatures typically experienced during the summer months.
Storage of lyophilised peptides
Upon receipt, lyophilised peptides should be stored at 4 °C or below, away from direct or intense light.
Although lyophilised peptides remain stable at room temperature for several weeks, storage at −20 °C or below is recommended for long-term storage to ensure optimum shelf life.
Contact with moisture significantly affects the long-term stability of lyophilised peptides and must therefore be avoided.
Before use, remove the peptide from cold storage and allow it to reach room temperature before opening the container, to minimise absorption of moisture from the surrounding air.
Storage of peptide solutions
Peptide solutions have a limited shelf life and should be handled accordingly. Storing aliquots frozen extends the usable life of the peptide. It is generally accepted in the scientific community that peptides in solution remain stable for at least three weeks at +4 °C, while at −20 °C they can be stored for approximately three to four months. Repeated freeze–thaw cycles must be avoided, as these can cause peptide degradation.
